I discovered leather work from my experience of small holding. Rearing animals and growing our own food was a revelation to me. I became much more interested in understanding how things are made and realized we all have choices we can make.

Leather is a by-product of the meat industry, it is a material that remains unrivaled in its performance and is natural. Leather is long lasting, but unlike plastics, will eventually return to the earth. Leather is a material that truly lends itself to the creativity of the maker.

I make new small batch leather items, teach leather work skills, and repair and restore much loved leather items at my workshop, based in the heart of Frome, Somerset.
